Saucon Valley High School Math Teacher & Head Football Coach
My name is Matt Evancho and I teach high school math at Saucon Valley High School in Hellertown, PA. I have taught every math subject at the high school level other than Pre-Calculus and am currently teaching all Algebra 2 sections. I am also the head football coach at the high school and will be entering my 5th season next year.
As you can see, my family is very important to me. They get me through my ups and downs. My daughter is 10 and my son is 7. My wife and I have been together since my junior year in high school, 20 years. We will be married for 13 years this June. I enjoy all sports, watching or playing. Last year, I started mountain biking and can't get enough of it. I am just waiting for the ground to dry up to start this season. I also enjoy reading, especially books about leaders and successful coaches.
I am hoping to gain more comfort in integrating and understanding the new technologies available for my classroom. I am also looking to become more comfortable with taking some chances in using new technology.
Currently, I have two favorite video games. I cannot stop playing "Words With Friends" and "Texas Hold'em" on my iPhone.

Good evening Matt! I love your family photo. It looks like you photoshopped it right in! 20 years is an accomplishment. I'm not that into football but my husband and I love reading about leadership too. I'm going to have to check into the "Word with Friends" app for my iPad. :) Eboni
